Lamington National Park, Binna Burra, Queensland – Australia

As I stand at the peak of Lamington National Park in Binna Burra Queensland, I listen as the clouds meander their way through the trees around me. The rainforest is silent except for the sound of a thousand branches shedding their mist-laden arms drip by drip. Its afternoon, but the heavy cloud enveloping the mountain creates a peaceful light, making the forest a place that eludes time.

I follow the golden passage of leaves as it twists its way through the forest. An ocean of green moss pours itself over the rocks and ancient Antarctic Beech Trees. Thinking how these famous trees formed over 2000 years ago, I marvel at the enchanting stories this forest must have hidden among its shadows.
