Dreamtime Beach, Fingal Head, New South Wales – Australia
The still waters of Dreamtime Beach of Tweed Coast, New South Wales awaken from their slumber and wait patiently to be warmed by the summer sun. From my perch on the rocks that tower over the beach, I look down upon the campfires of other dawn-seekers celebrating the first sunrise of the new year.
I watch as the soft glow on the grey horizon intensifies into a crescendo of violets, pinks, and blues. The elegant lone tree joins me in my celebration of the new year, and we watch heaven meet earth in a dramatic splash of colour and light.
