As with all works of art, Light Divide is open to interpretation. To some, the piece represents the separation of the two sides of this lonely pier, located on the Redcliffe, Queensland. Others interpret it to be a representation of night and day.
The truth is, the mystery is more intriguing than the answer.
Why must such peaceful beauty be labelled? Why must we try to interpret a sunrise with such magnificence? These efforts only detract from the experience. Sometimes it is best to not ask questions, and to not try to interpret nature’s displays, for Mother Nature creates them solely to bring us peace and to inspire hope in all who witness Her work.
