There are two types of picture-perfect moments in life. The first is the kind you can plan for via detailed research and carefully planned scheduling. The other is the kind that finds you, often when you least expect it. It’s the existence of moments like those that teach you to simply go with the flow, even when nothing seems to be going your way no matter how hard you try to keep hold of the reigns.

Manta Blanca is the story of a moment captured on a late winter’s afternoon. I was actually on my way up to beautiful Lake Dobson at Tasmania’s Mt. Field National Park when a heavy snow storm began to manifest. Since I wasn’t equipped for safe driving under those conditions, I decided to go back the way I came. That’s when I caught sight of these majestic Snow Gums, beautifully dressed in the crisp lace of newly fallen snow and looking just like something out of a fairy tale.
