For more than a century, the Shorncliffe Pier has been one of Brisbane’s architectural icons. The way that the timber slices through both the sky and the water each morning is one of life’s simple – yet striking – treasures.
You probably noticed the flare, or the tiny specs of light that popped up where the sun hit the lens of my camera. Other photographers remove flare with special editing software. I, however, prefer to keep things completely natural, so that you get to see exactly what I was lucky enough to see in person.
