The beauty we see in life is often determined by our vantage point at a given time. Some of life’s most fulfilling moments happen when we take the time to simply stop, look, listen, and observe. That said, there’s really something to be said for finding the perfect spot from which to watch the sun rise.
This particular sunrise happened at Brisbane’s Wellington Point. As the newborn sun stretched its limbs and prepared to usher in the start of a new day, I watched the world around me go from a hazy rendering in various shades of dove grey to being fully alive with a beating heart. The sky was a velvety mixture of soft peach, gentle carnation, and modest lavender. The ambient voices of the walkers and fisherman nearby were like the final notes of a symphony that felt like it had been played just for me.
