IT WAS a wisecrack comment that led Destin Sparks to start his six-figure business.
He was working in sales in a Brisbane camera store with no real love for the job while his budding photographer colleagues would spend their weekends shooting and their weekdays comparing snaps.
“They would go out shooting every weekend and I was always left out,” he said. When a co-worker came back with a photo that got a lot of attention on Facebook, Mr Sparks made a “wisecrack” that he could do something better and headed out to try his hand.
“It didn’t got so well the first time. It wasn’t quite clicking. I month later it clicked and everything made sense,” he said.
