As I drove through the Numinbah Valley of Gold Coast Hinterland Queensland, I strained to see 3 feet in front of me. The fog was dense, heavy, and grey, erasing any shadows and hiding the beautiful scenery that I knew adorned this valley.
Suddenly, there was a break in the fog and this picturesque scene jumped into view. Statuesque trees emerged into a soft, gentle haze that glowed in the rising sun. As I pulled closer, I was able to make out the fence and equipment – and the scene was complete. I quickly took the photograph, for I knew such silent beauty was created to last but a moment.
I didn’t know to whom this ranch belonged, but I was sure of one thing – its terrain must have quite a story to tell.
