Lux Aeterna – Latin for ‘eternal light.’ During a short period in September 2011 there were a number of controlled fires on the outskirts of Brisbane. Smoke lingered over the city for a number of days. I found what most considered a toxic nuisance to be and extraordinary opportunity.
Each evening at sunset, the sun feasted on this haze, giving off the most magical display of reds and oranges. I simply could not pass up the opportunity to capture an everlasting memory of this African-themed Brisbane sunset.
